RenfroBasics: Our Story

For those of you who know us, you probably already know our story. But to make a long story short for those who don't, Branden and I met our freshman year in high school and quickly became good friends. We started dating the summer between sophomore year and junior year at the age of 16 (June 30, 2004). After high school I went off to USC while Branden stayed in Sacramento and attended American River College. In 2009 Branden went off to serve our country in the United States Air Force, where he spent 4 years stationed in Hawaii. While Branden was serving, I was finishing up my undergraduate degree and my master's degree (also from USC). Once I finished I entered into a 2 year rotational program with Abbott Laboratories and I moved all over the country every 6 months., living as far away as Dallas, TX.

By the time my rotational program was finished, Branden would be finishing up his stint in the Air Force and we both decided we wanted to get married as soon as he was finished. On June 7, 2012, on a visit to Hawaii, Branden decided to pop the question on a beautiful hike overlooking Pearl Harbor (of course I said yes).

We set our date for October 19, 2013 and the planning began! Now that October 19 has passed I can say that we are happily married and could not be more excited to spend the rest of our lives together. All of those years of long distance were hard, but it was all worth it since we are finally able to be together. Here are a few pictures from the wedding! We were so blessed to be able to spend the day with our closest family and friends.
