The Sonoma Vintage Festival & More!

Well Branden and I have been keeping ourselves busy. This past weekend we went to the Sonoma Vintage Festival with Sarah and Kenny. This was my 4th year going and Branden's first. I was so excited to show him how awesome the festival is!

If you ever get the chance, I HIGHLY recommend going, especially to the Friday Night Gala. It is 4 hours of unlimited wine and food tastings with live music. All I can say is we had a great night ;-).

Here are some pictures from Friday (the weather was a bit crazy and we could see lightning in the distance to one side and a setting sun on the other. Thankfully it only sprinkled in the very beginning).

As you can see, we really enjoyed the evening haha.

On Saturday morning we woke up at 5am so we could fly to LA for the USC game! I'm terrible at taking pictures on gamedays but we had a great time tailgating, especially because my parents were able to come. And we killed Oregon State which was a bonus.

A few weeks ago (ok almost a month), USC played up at Stanford. I never got around to posting pictures but I had an awesome time going to the rally at Union Square for the first time, as well as tailgating with all of my friends.

Here are some photos from the festivities

We are going back to LA this weekend for another USC game. Stay tuned for a few pictures from that (hopefully).

Taking the SLO Road Home

Our Labor Day weekend continued on Sunday but us driving from Pasadena through Malibu and up the coast on Highway 1. It was a gorgeous drive and we really enjoyed spending time together. We didn't really get out and stop but we did stop for lunch in Santa Barbara. I really loved the downtown area and it is definitely a place I'd love to spend the weekend.

We stayed the night in San Luis Obispo (SLO) at this really quaint hotel called the Apple Farm. It was so nice and we loved everything about it. We even had our own private spa right outside our room. We got to SLO a little later in the evening so we quickly decided we were in the mood for some seafood and went to a restaurant called Crawdaddy's. It was super delicious and it was fun not caring about being messy!

After dinner we went back to our hotel and drank some wine and sat in the spa. It was the perfect night to just sit back and relax!

We got breakfast at the Apple Farm Restaurant and the food was great there as well. Everything seemed extremely fresh (especially from their bakery). We even bought some apple butter to take home with us!

After breakfast we hit the road and continued our journey on Highway 1. It was really a gorgeous drive and reminded us both of Hawaii in places. We also found some spots we might want to go camping at! I took as many pictures as I could (although I was driving pretty much the whole time because of the windy roads).

We stopped for lunch right on the coast and the scenery couldn't be more beautiful and peaceful

Overall it was a great weekend and we both enjoyed exploring California a little more and seeing all the new and beautiful places. The one thing I realized after exploring the coast: we live in a pretty darn beautiful place as well.
